Forbes ranks OTP Grupa and BKS Bank in top global banking list

Forbes and Statista have released the inaugural ‘World’s Top-Performing Banks 2026’ ranking, evaluating 500 global institutions based on profitability, growth, asset quality, efficiency, and capital resilience.

OTP Grupa emerged as the highest-ranked European bank in the large bank category, securing 10th place globally. The group, which operates across 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, was recognized for its ability to balance rapid growth with long-term stability.

BKS Bank was also included in the global list, falling into the ‘lower mid-sized banks’ category based on its 2025 balance sheet of 11.2 billion euros. The ranking utilized financial data from the previous three years to assess performance.
