Forbidden releases new single ahead of self-titled album

Thrash metal band Forbidden has released a new single and music video titled ‘Burning The Lungs Of Earth’. The track is part of their upcoming self-titled album, which is scheduled for release on October 23 via BLKIIBLK, an imprint of Frontiers Label Group.

This marks the band’s first full-length album since 2010’s ‘Omega Wave’. The new material was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California, with engineer and co-producer Zack Ohren. The album features a reconstituted lineup including guitarist Craig Locicero and bassist Matt Camacho.

According to Locicero, ‘Burning The Lungs Of Earth’ is a fast-paced song that addresses the impact of natural and unnatural disasters on the planet, as well as the role of corporate and political greed in ecosystem destruction. The upcoming album is described as a significant reinvigoration for the Bay Area metal institution.
