Force March set for return at Newcastle meeting

The four-year-old gelding Force March is scheduled to return for his fourth career start at the Newcastle meeting on the Beaumont track. Trained by Andrew MacDonald, the son of Grunt has not raced since finishing second at Wyong in early April.

Force March enters the 1150m maiden handicap as a $4 favourite after a strong home trial. Other notable runners in the race include St Johann and Wan Lost. The track conditions are expected to be a good 4, though forecast rain may result in a soft track.
