Ford and Lincoln recall 6,500 vehicles in Mexico

Ford Motor Company has issued recalls for 6,558 Ford and Lincoln vehicles in Mexico, as reported by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco). The recalls address two distinct mechanical and software issues.

The first recall affects 2,569 vehicles from various models produced between 2019 and 2024, including the Fusion, Edge, Bronco Sport, Escape, F-150, Mustang, Explorer, and several Lincoln models such as the Navigator and Aviator. This issue stems from an infotainment software error that may cause the rearview camera to intermittently display a blank screen.

The second recall involves 3,989 Ford Bronco units from the 2021-2024 model years. This alert concerns potential corrosion in the rear shock absorber bodies, which could lead to noise, bouncing, or fluid leaks. There is a risk that external shock absorber components could detach, posing a danger to other road users. Ford will repair or replace the affected components free of charge.
