Ford Australia and Triple Eight unveil Mustang Dark Horse T8-Spec
Ford Australia and Triple Eight Race Engineering have co-engineered the Mustang Dark Horse T8-Spec, a track-focused special edition limited to 250 units. The vehicle is an Australian exclusive and will be finished at Ford’s Plant 2 facility in Broadmeadows.
Developed with input from seven-time Supercars champion Jamie Whincup, the T8-Spec pack features significant hardware upgrades to improve handling. These include Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tyres, retuned MagneRide suspension with stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, adjustable top mounts, and a shortened steering rack.
Visual and performance enhancements include widened guards to accommodate larger alloys, a large rear wing with a Grabber Blue gurney flap, Brembo brakes with blue calipers, and a front splitter. All 250 cars will be manual, featuring a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 350kW and 550Nm, and will be finished in Avalanche paint with a black roof and Triple Eight branding.
