Ford, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen recall over 900,000 vehicles in the US

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced six recalls that together affect more than 900,000 vehicles from BMW, Ford, Mercedes‑Benz and Volkswagen. The largest single recall involves about 318,495 vehicles, including the 2023‑24 Toyota Supra, due to an electrical fire risk.

In Canada, Ford Motor Company issued a separate recall covering over 20,000 vehicles. The recall targets 2023‑24 Mustang Mach‑E models for a rear‑quarter window trim that can detach, and 2021‑2026 F‑150 and F‑250 Super Duty pickups for a software defect that may block part of the rear‑view camera image. Affected owners will be notified and offered repairs or over‑the‑air updates.

Both recalls require owners to bring vehicles to dealers for inspection and repair, aiming to mitigate safety hazards and restore compliance with regulatory standards.
