Ford celebrates F-150 Raptor history in new commercial

Ford has released a new commercial titled ‘Project Raptor: Based on a Ford Story’ to celebrate the origin of the F-150 Raptor. The advertisement features actors Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal, who discuss the development process of the high-performance off-road vehicle.

According to the film, the Raptor development began in 2006, though the project was reportedly cancelled six times before reaching production. The commercial highlights the engineering efforts of Derek Bier, Tim Smith, and Chris Paiva, noting that the mission was to bring Baja-inspired performance to the mass market.
