Ford CEO Jim Farley outbid at Ferrari Dino auction

Ford CEO Jim Farley recently participated in an auction for a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT hosted by Bring A Trailer. Despite Farley placing a bid of $365,000, he was outbid by a competitor who offered $1,000 more.

The winning bidder immediately resold the vehicle for $442,000, securing a $77,000 profit. The Ferrari Dino featured a 2.4-liter mid-mounted engine and had recorded fewer than 34,000 kilometers. Farley is a known collector of vintage automobiles, having previously acquired models such as a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera and a 1937 Lincoln Model K Coupe.
