Ford classic vehicles featured in recent listings
Two classic Ford vehicles have been highlighted for sale. One is a 1985 Merkur XR4Ti, a turbocharged model based on Ford’s European Sierra. Originally introduced to the U.S. market under the direction of Bob Lutz to compete with entry-level luxury brands like BMW, the XR4Ti faced challenges due to being marketed through Lincoln-Mercury dealerships rather than luxury-focused showrooms. This specific unit, featuring a “bi-plane” style rear wing, was reportedly parked in 2001 and is listed for $3,500.
The second vehicle is a customized 1953 Ford F-100 pickup truck located in Peoria, Arizona. This chop-topped street truck features a primer black exterior with purple flames, a wooden bed, and modern upgrades including power steering, power windows, and air conditioning. It is powered by an Oldsmobile 455ci V-8 engine paired with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-matic 400 automatic transmission.
