Ford develops four-door Mustang with hybrid V8 engine
Ford is reportedly developing a new four-door Mustang model that could feature the company’s first hybrid V8 engine. This move aims to expand the Mustang lineup beyond traditional coupes and the electric Mach-E SUV, targeting a broader customer base by offering more practicality without sacrificing high performance.
The proposed vehicle is expected to have a sporty fastback silhouette, potentially offering more rear legroom than competitors like the Porsche Panamera. While official specifications are not yet confirmed, reports suggest the car could achieve a 0 to 60 mph time of under four seconds. Ford has already registered the name ‘Mach 4’ as a possible designation for this new model.
