Ford Everest updates engine lineup and trim levels in Australia

The 2027 Ford Everest features a revised engine lineup in Australia, replacing the previous bi-turbo diesel with an uprated single-turbo four-cylinder engine to meet tightening emissions regulations. While the new base engine offers lower power and torque than competitors like the Toyota Prado and Isuzu MU-X, Ford has introduced a turbo-diesel V6 option for higher trims.

Ford has also restructured the Everest range by replacing the Ambiente and Trend names with the Active trim for the entry-level model. The five-seat Active model now comes standard with four-wheel drive, as rear-wheel-drive versions are no longer available in the Australian market. To offset the change in engine specifications, Ford has reduced the entry price of the Everest range by $500 and increased standard equipment for the base model.
