Ford expands BlueCruise hands-free driving technology to Kuga SUV
Ford has expanded its BlueCruise hands-free driving technology to the Kuga, a versatile family SUV manufactured in Spain. The system, which previously debuted on the Mustang Mach-E, is now also available on the Puma, Puma Gen-E, and Ranger PHEV models.
BlueCruise is designed to reduce driver fatigue and enhance safety by allowing hands-free driving within pre-qualified sections of high-capacity roads known as ‘BlueZones’. The technology integrates intelligent adaptive cruise control with a Stop-and-Go function, lane-keeping assistance, and speed limit recognition. To ensure safety, an internal camera monitors the driver’s head position and gaze to verify they remain attentive to the road.
