Ford expands Ranger lineup in Malaysia with Platinum, Sport and XL models

Ford Motor Company announced the addition of three new Ranger variants – Platinum, Sport and XL – to its Malaysian range. The launch comes as the brand celebrates more than 24,000 Next‑Generation Rangers on Malaysian roads since the model’s local debut in 2022, underscoring its popularity in the market.

The Platinum version is positioned as the flagship, equipped with a 3.0‑litre V6 turbodiesel delivering 250 PS and 600 Nm, a 10‑speed automatic gearbox and premium interior trim. The Sport model is offered with either the 3.0‑litre V6 or a 2.0‑litre turbo diesel, featuring sportier styling and a digital cockpit. The XL variant targets commercial users with a 2.0‑litre single‑turbo diesel, six airbags and a durable cargo bed. Alongside the new models, Ford confirmed a new East Malaysia Parts Hub in Kota Kinabalu to improve after‑sales support for Sabah and Sarawak customers.
