Ford Mustang classic models surface in collector market
Several notable Ford Mustang models have recently surfaced in the collector market, ranging from pristine survivors to project vehicles.
A 1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra is currently listed for $69,980 in Peculiar, Missouri. The vehicle spent two decades as a display piece in a climate-controlled automotive restaurant, preserving its original Bright Red paint and 44,000 original miles. It previously earned a Gold Award from the Mustang Club of America in 2015.
In Brea, California, an all-original 1968 Mustang GT Fastback with an S-code 390-cubic-inch V8 has emerged after being held by its original owner for 57 years. The Candyapple Red vehicle features factory black-out hood treatment and red vinyl luxury bucket seats.
Additionally, a 1970 Ford Mustang project car is being offered for sale via eBay. Unlike the other preserved models, this vehicle has been stored outdoors for an extended period and is being marketed primarily as a donor car or a significant restoration project.
