Ford Pro Polska faces controversy over Giewont cross visibility

A social media post by Ford Pro Polska featuring a Ford Ranger against the backdrop of Giewont in the Tatra Mountains sparked a significant online controversy in Poland. Users on the X platform accused the company of removing the iconic metal cross from the mountain peak in the photograph.

The debate drew involvement from public figures, including former MP Janusz Kowalski, who labeled the advertisement 'anti-Polish,' and former ambassador Marek Magierowski. Some commenters threatened to boycott the brand.

Ford responded to the criticism by clarifying that the cross had not been removed but was simply difficult to see due to the lighting and distance. The company invited Magierowski to their showroom and stated, 'The cross was, is, and will be' on the mountain. Following the exchange, some of the political figures involved deleted their original posts.
