Ford Ranger WildTrak PHEV offers enhanced utility for European markets
The Ford Ranger WildTrak PHEV is a plug-in hybrid pickup truck manufactured at the Silverton plant in South Africa for European and other global markets. Unlike the American version of the Ranger, which relies on gasoline engines and a 400 W power outlet, the European PHEV model offers a significantly more powerful 6.9 kW optional system capable of powering tools, lighting, or camping equipment.
In terms of capability, the European PHEV is rated to tow up to 3,500 kg, which is approximately 100 kg more than the American model's 3,400 kg limit. The vehicle also features a rear differential lock and the ability to utilize electrical power while parked.
