Ford recalls 2025 Maverick models over dashboard defect

Ford Motor Company has initiated a recall for 2025 Maverick Tremor, Black, and Hybrid models due to a manufacturing defect in the dashboard cover that houses the passenger airbag.

In the event of a collision that triggers the airbag, the dashboard cover may detach from its structure. This could cause interior trim components to be projected into the cabin, posing a risk of physical injury to occupants.

The recall affects specific units manufactured in August 2025. Ford will provide a free replacement of the instrument panel upper trim at its dealership network. The repair process is estimated to take approximately eight hours to complete.
