Ford recalls 2027 Ranger models due to brake defect

Ford has announced a recall for the 2027 Ranger models equipped with 2.0 turbodiesel engines due to a potential manufacturing defect in the brake master cylinder outlet tube assembly. The defect may cause fluid to leak, which could trigger the fluid level indicator light on the dashboard and require increased pedal pressure from the driver.

This leakage can reduce braking capacity and increase the distance required to stop the vehicle, potentially increasing the risk of accidents and injuries. The recall affects specific units manufactured on June 1, 2026. Ford will provide free inspections and, if necessary, replacement of the component at authorized dealerships, with repairs scheduled to begin on October 8, 2026.
