Ford recalls over 560,000 Bronco SUVs over fire hazard and 230,000 Bronco models for instrument‑cluster glitch

Ford Motor Co. announced two large‑scale safety recalls affecting its Bronco lineup. The first recall involves roughly 565,000 Bronco SUVs built between 2021 and 2026 after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration identified a wiring‑bundle issue that can abrade insulation, cause a short circuit and potentially ignite a fire. NHTSA reports 15 incidents where fire may have been linked to the defect, though no injuries have been recorded.

A separate recall targets about 230,000 Bronco and Bronco Sport SUVs because a software fault can leave the digital instrument cluster blank at start‑up, eliminating display of speed, warnings and fuel level and raising crash risk. Owners are instructed to bring the vehicles to authorized service centers for corrective repairs. The recalls were announced in the United States, with guidance also extending to Bronco owners who have imported the vehicles abroad, such as in Poland.
