Ford recalls Ranger and Everest vehicles in Australia
Ford Australia has issued a recall for 1,085 Ford Ranger utility vehicles and Ford Everest SUVs due to a manufacturing defect. The issue involves the 10.1-inch centre touchscreen, which may display a blank screen and fail to show the reversing camera image.
Official notices state that the lack of a rear-view image while reversing could increase the risk of accidents, potentially causing serious injury or death to individuals located behind the vehicle. The recall affects certain 2024–2026 model-year vehicles.
Affected owners will be contacted in writing by Ford and instructed to visit an authorised dealer for a free repair. This follows previous recalls for the Ranger and Everest involving side-airbag deployment and transmission issues.
