Ford reveals Mustang GTD Spirit of America photos and opens European applications
Ford has released the first official photographs of the Mustang GTD Spirit of America, moving beyond previous digital renders to show the physical vehicle. The car features a Performance White body accented by asymmetrical Race Red and Lightning Blue stripes, designed to reinterpret the classic Mustang tri-bar motif. A significant portion of the vehicle’s silhouette, including the front splitter and rear wing, is constructed from exposed carbon fiber.
In conjunction with the visual reveal, Ford has reopened the application window for European customers interested in purchasing the Mustang GTD, including the Spirit of America edition. This application process remains open until October 16. Unlike standard allocations, Ford selects buyers based on specific criteria, including Mustang ownership history, collector status, and motorsport involvement.
The Mustang GTD is a high-performance supercar powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine producing 815 horsepower. It has previously gained attention for its performance capabilities, including a sub-7-minute lap at the Nürburgring.
