Ford showcases Mustang-based Ute concept and vintage project

Ford has unveiled a one-off ‘Mustang Ute Concept,’ a custom vehicle built at the Ford Experimental Vehicles Building in Dearborn, Michigan. The project involved transforming an S550 Mustang into a two-door pickup by replacing the rear roof section with a functional bed and tailgate. The build, which utilized body kit cues from a Shelby GT350, served as a hands-on training exercise for apprentices in the EVB Metal Shop.

In a separate automotive listing, a 1967 Ford Mustang convertible project is available for sale in Arlington, Virginia. The vehicle features a Blueprint 408 crate motor producing 350 horsepower and has undergone various upgrades, including new suspension and disc brakes. The car is currently being positioned as a potential Shelby conversion project.
