Ford to increase Lincoln production in the U.S. by 2030

Ford Motor Company has announced that it will increase Lincoln production within the United States starting in 2030. This strategic shift involves phasing out the import of Lincoln models from China.

Currently, the Lincoln portfolio produced in the U.S. includes the Aviator, built in Chicago, and the Navigator, built in Louisville, Kentucky. The company plans to move the production of its best-selling Nautilus and the Corsair models from China to U.S. plants within the next four years.

Ford CEO and President Jim Farley stated that the decision to build in America is a bet on the country, noting that the move is a path most competitors are not choosing to take. The announcement follows increased tariffs and federal backlash regarding imports from China.
