Ford Trucks and IVECO partner on next-generation cabin project
Ford Trucks, a global heavy commercial vehicle brand under Ford Otosan, has announced a major investment for a next-generation cabin project in collaboration with IVECO. The program aims to develop cabins that comply with European Union emission and safety regulations, featuring advanced safety technologies, aerodynamic structures, and driver-oriented designs.
Ford Otosan plans to invest approximately 364 million euros gradually by 2030 for the product to be manufactured at its own facilities, with 122 million euros already utilized for preliminary feasibility activities. The companies signed a Joint Development Agreement in March 2025 to conduct design and engineering work together. Under this agreement, both Ford Trucks and IVECO will produce and assemble the cabins at their respective facilities, customizing them to meet specific brand identities and customer expectations.
The new cabin series is scheduled for a phased rollout starting in 2028. The partnership seeks to leverage the engineering expertise and resources of both companies to improve product quality and achieve cost and scale advantages in the European market.
