Foreign demand for Spanish rentals rises in Alicante, Valencia, and Almería

A report from the real estate portal Idealista reveals a significant rise in international demand for residential rentals across several Spanish provinces. Alicante and Valencia lead the ranking among provincial capitals, with foreign demand accounting for 25% and 24% respectively. In Alicante, notable interest comes from the United States, Germany, and Brazil, while Valencia sees high demand from the United States, Italy, and Germany.

In the province of Almería, international demand reaches 17%, placing it on par with Las Palmas and ahead of Madrid, where foreign searches account for 9%. Specific coastal municipalities show even higher concentrations of international interest; for instance, Vera reaches 37% foreign demand, driven largely by interest from the Netherlands, Germany, and France.

Other areas with high foreign rental interest include Calp (53%) and Moraira (52%) in the Valencian Community. Nationally, Alicante and the Balearic Islands lead the country with 26% international demand, followed by Málaga at 24%.
