Foreign man receives 50-year sentence for femicide in Cancun hotel
A judge sentenced Taylor Keith Duran Allen, a foreign citizen, to 50 years in prison for the femicide of his partner in a hotel in the municipality of Benito Juárez, Cancun. The ruling also ordered him to pay 717,000 Mexican pesos as compensation for material damage.
The crime occurred on 26 November 2021 when the victim was found dead in the hotel room. Forensic experts concluded she died from intentional cervical compression, ruling out accidental causes. The conviction represents one of the harshest penalties for femicide in Quintana Roo.
