Foreign Students Attacked and Robbed in Cassino, Italy

Two foreign students of Indian origin were assaulted and allegedly robbed while walking in Piazza Diamare and later on Viale Dante in Cassino. The victims reported being beaten, chased, and having personal belongings taken. Local police and Carabinieri intervened, launching an investigation and urging other potential victims not to stay silent for fear of retaliation.

Authorities highlighted a pattern of under‑reporting in similar incidents, noting that many students avoid filing complaints. Police are working to identify the perpetrators and have called on witnesses to come forward.
