Forensic Medicine Days congress held in Antalya

The 21st International Forensic Medicine Days congress is currently being held in Antalya, Turkey, bringing together scientists from 41 countries to share expertise in forensic medicine and forensic sciences. The central theme of the event focuses on “Addiction and Expert Witnessing,” addressing addiction as a multidimensional issue involving medical, legal, and social dimensions.

Sessions at the congress include discussions on forensic genetics, forensic informatics, and forensic services during mass disasters. Notable presentations have covered topics such as Turkey’s disaster management system, international activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and forensic anthropology in Ukraine. Other specialized sessions have addressed post-mortem examinations in aircraft accidents and molecular autopsy developments.
