Forensic reports detail separate violent deaths in Argentina and Colombia
Forensic investigations have released details regarding two separate violent incidents in South America.
In Argentina, a forensic examination of 30-year-old Manuel Alonso confirmed his death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the skull. The preliminary report suggests the injury occurred at close range, supporting the hypothesis that Alonso took his own life after being cornered during a police raid in the Las Dalias neighborhood. The operation targeted a drug trafficking network known as ‘Los Pibes Chetos,’ resulting in the seizure of approximately seven kilograms of cocaine, cannabis, a 9mm pistol, cash, and precision scales.
In Colombia, a forensic report on journalist Mateo Pérez Rueda revealed he sustained five gunshot wounds, including two to the skull. The medical-legal document classifies the death as a homicide and notes that the location of the wounds suggests an ‘execution-type pattern.’ Pérez Rueda’s body was discovered in an illegal grave in Briceño, Antioquia. The prosecution has charged an individual known as alias ‘Víctor Chalá’ in connection with the case.
