Forest Adventure Misato offers free activities for Kumamoto earthquake recovery
Forest Adventure Misato, located in Misato, Kumamoto Prefecture, has announced a free invitation program for elementary and junior high school students to support recovery efforts following the Kumamoto earthquake of July 2026.
From August 17 to August 31, 2026, students residing in Misato, Yatsushiro, Hikawa, Uki, Uto, and Kosa will be able to use the canopy course free of charge. The facility had previously undergone temporary closure to ensure safety following the earthquake but resumed operations on August 8 after confirming no significant damage to equipment.
The initiative aims to provide children in the affected areas an opportunity to refresh and create summer memories through outdoor activities. While the canopy course is free for eligible students, accompanying guardians and those from outside the target areas must pay standard fees. Reservations via the official website are required.
