Wildfires contained in Cyprus and Manisa through rapid response

In Cyprus, a forest fire broke out between the villages of Yamaçköy and Tirmen. The blaze was brought under control through a coordinated effort involving the Fire Department, Civil Defense, Forestry Department, and various security forces. Emergency response included two helicopters, one UAV, and dozens of ground vehicles, including water tankers and bulldozers. Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş visited the site to monitor cooling operations and expressed gratitude for the cooperation between local authorities and the public.

In Manisa, Turkey, a lightning strike ignited a fire in the Davutlar neighborhood. The situation was prevented from escalating into a major disaster due to the rapid intervention of local residents using a tractor-mounted fire tanker provided by the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality. Local officials noted that the ability to respond within minutes of the strike prevented the flames from reaching residential areas.
