Criminal incidents reported in Croatia and Montenegro
In Croatia, a man suspected of the fatal stabbing of his wife in Slatina committed suicide on September 12 while in custody at a Zagreb prison. The victim, a mother of six, was killed on September 8 following years of reported domestic abuse. In Montenegro, police in Tivat arrested a 40-year-old woman, S. P., for the attempted murder of a man, M. K. While initial reports suggested the victim may have self-inflicted the wound, subsequent investigations by the Tivat Security Department and the High State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica determined that the woman had stabbed the man in the chest following a dispute. The victim is currently hospitalized in stable condition.
