Forestry and cultural events organized in Slavonia, Croatia

Various cultural and forestry-themed events are being organized in the Slavonia region of Croatia. In Nova Gradiška, the “Šuma okom šumara” (Forest through the eyes of a forester) photography exhibition has launched as part of the Nova Gradiška Musical Summer. This year’s exhibition features a retrospective of award-winning photographs from the 10th to the 20th Bjelovar Salon of Photography, showcasing local flora and fauna.

In Našice, preparations are underway for the 26th Day of the Slavonian Forest, scheduled for September 4 and 5. The event will include professional forestry competitions, a two-handed saw cutting contest, and a professional seminar. The program also features a musical performance by tamburitza artists and traditional culinary offerings, including “čobanac.” Local officials noted that the event contributes to significant increases in regional tourism and museum visits.
