Forestry festivals in Poland highlight wood usage and architecture

Various forestry and wood-focused festivals are highlighting the lifecycle and architectural utility of timber in Poland. The second edition of the Wood Festival will take place on September 19 and 20 at the SGGW campus in Warsaw. Organized by Lasy Państwowe, SGGW, and the Association of Energy-Efficient Ready-made Houses, the free event aims to demonstrate the journey of wood from forest harvesting to finished products through workshops, demonstrations, and expert discussions.

Additionally, the 17th edition of the Lower Silesian Festival 'Dary Lasu' (Gifts of the Forest) will focus on the theme of 'Wood in Architecture.' The festival emphasizes the historical and modern relevance of wooden structures, noting their functional benefits such as natural humidity regulation and temperature stability. The event highlights how traditional wooden building techniques are being integrated into modern construction practices.
