Forestry students conduct field training in La Bresse

Forestry management students from the Mirecourt high school recently participated in field training in the forests of La Bresse. Working alongside agents from the Office National des Forêts (ONF), the second-year students engaged in marking operations to apply their classroom knowledge to mountain forest environments.

The La Bresse communal forest, spanning nearly 3,000 hectares, presents specific management challenges. Local officials noted that management must balance timber production, public access, and biodiversity preservation, particularly in response to climate change.
