Forex Technical Outlook Highlights AUD/USD and Nikkei 225 Trends
The AUD/USD pair is viewed as neutral for now, with the price hovering around the 38.2% retracement level of 0.7277 to 0.6864 at 0.7022. A decisive break below 0.7022 would suggest the recent fall is complete, while a break of 0.6964 could trigger a retest of the 0.6864 low. Technical indicators show bearish divergence, pointing to a possible medium‑term top near 0.7277 and a deeper correction toward 0.6756, though support is expected to keep the pair from a larger decline.
The Nikkei 225 index remains caught between a downtrend that began in early June and a modest uptrend that formed after the July lows. Prices are compressed in a tight range, with bulls needing a clear close above the downtrend and the 50‑day moving average at 67,108 to shift momentum. Key resistance levels include 69,390, 70,000 and 72,000, while failure to break the downtrend could push the index back toward the July 17 swing low around 62,750.
