Forez hosts mental health awareness weeks through the arts

The Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM) will take place in the Forez region from October 5 to 18, 2026. This national awareness initiative focuses on the theme “For our mental health, let us open ourselves to the arts!”

Organized by the Conseil Local de Santé Mentale (CLSM) du Forez, the event features over 70 appointments involving more than 60 local partners. The program aims to demonstrate how creativity, artistic practice, and culture can serve as tools for well-being, expression, and social connection.

Activities include artistic workshops such as photography, calligraphy, sculpture, and origami, as well as cultural visits to local sites like the Allard Museum in Montbrison and the Bussières museum. The initiative seeks to combat mental health stigmas through inclusive, community-based engagement.
