Forfield consortium formed to manage UK defence supply chains

Four companies have formed a consortium named Forfield to bid for contracts managing the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence supply chains. The alliance includes Kuehne+Nagel, TVS Supply Chain Solutions, Atos, and Turner & Townsend.

Each partner provides specific expertise to address the complexities of modern defence logistics: Kuehne+Nagel focuses on global transport, customs compliance, and supply chain management; TVS Supply Chain Solutions handles procurement, demand forecasting, and inventory management; Atos provides secure digital infrastructure and cybersecurity; and Turner & Townsend manages programmes, commercial oversight, and governance.

The group employs over 14,000 people in the UK and possesses more than 170 years of combined experience in the defence sector. All four members are recipients of the Gold award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. By acting as a single point of contact, Forfield aims to improve the availability of critical equipment and materials for operations amidst increasing global uncertainty and technological shifts.
