Forio road accident: 39-year-old motorcyclist killed in Ischia collision
A fatal road accident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the Panza provincial road in Forio, on the island of Ischia. A 39-year-old man, identified by the initials M. D. N. and a resident of Casamicciola Terme, died following a collision.
Preliminary investigations suggest the motorcyclist collided with an e-bike operated by a 21-year-old traveling in the opposite direction. The impact caused the motorcyclist to lose control and strike a wall bordering the roadway. Emergency medical services transported the 39-year-old to the Anna Rizzoli hospital in Lacco Ameno, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The 21-year-old e-bike rider was also taken to the hospital but is reported to be in non-life-threatening condition. Local Carabinieri from Forio and Ischia are conducting an investigation to determine the exact dynamics of the crash and establish responsibility. The motorcycle involved has been seized for technical examination.
