Forlì authorities meet to address threats of youth unrest
Local authorities in Forlì, Italy, have convened a public order and security committee at the Prefecture to address threats of violence and disorder circulating online. The concerns stem from audio and video messages shared via social media and messaging apps, which have reportedly caused fear among residents and families.
Forlì Mayor Gian Luca Zattini stated that law enforcement is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining a presence throughout the territory to ensure legality. While acknowledging the right to peaceful protest, Zattini condemned any violence or destruction of public property.
Other regional leaders have weighed in on the tension. Cesena Mayor Enzo Lattuca emphasized the need to listen to the underlying grievances of the youth while maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward chaos. Meanwhile, Deputy Rosaria Tassinari called for prevention and attention from competent authorities to manage the security situation effectively.
