Forlì-Cesena municipalities recover minimal funds from tax evasion

The Uil trade union has reported low rates of tax evasion recovery within the municipalities of the Forlì-Cesena province. According to data from the Ministry of the Interior, only 22,302.81 euros were recovered from tax evaders in 2024.

Out of the 30 municipalities in the province, only six were active in these recovery efforts. The union noted that the amount disbursed to municipalities for tax assessment and recovery activities represents approximately 0.02% of the potentially recoverable amount. Specific recovery figures for major centers included 4,706.49 euros for Cesena and 7,586.37 euros for Forlì. Uil representatives Paolo Manzelli and Enrico Imolesi have called for the strengthening of tax offices to improve fiscal compliance and equity.
