Forlì's Diagonal Loft Club Closes After 30 Years, Site Set for Supermarket

The Diagonal Loft Club, a cultural nightspot in Forlì, Italy, will close its doors permanently on Friday, 31 July 2026, ending a three‑decade run that began in 1995. Founded by five young locals—Roberto Amadori, Mirko Rossi, Lorenzo Valpiani, Andrea Paganelli and Daniele Rossi—the venue became a hub for music, art and late‑night gatherings, described by patrons as a "second home" and a key reference point for the city’s alternative scene.

Current managers Davide Fabbri and Filippo Maitan say that the conditions which supported the club’s creation no longer exist and that the premises on Viale Salinatore will be redeveloped as a supermarket. In the final days, the club hosted a modest market where regulars could purchase memorabilia such as chairs, lamps and signage at symbolic prices.

The closure marks the end of an era for a generation of Forlì residents who credit the Diagonal Loft Club with shaping their cultural tastes and providing a space for creative exchange.
