Formentera announces Gastronomic Weeks culinary competition

Restaurants in Formentera are invited to register for the upcoming edition of the Gastronomic Weeks, scheduled to take place from October 12 to 25, 2026. The initiative, organized by the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of Formentera (PIMEF) in collaboration with the Tourism Promotion Area of the Consell Insular de Formentera, aims to highlight the island's traditional culinary heritage and local products.

Participants must create exclusive menus inspired by traditional Formentera flavors and recipes, allowing for creative reinterpretations. During the event, customers will act as the jury, voting on the menus they taste. The highest-rated restaurant will receive a prize of 1,500 euros, while the runner-up will receive 1,000 euros. Interested establishments must complete their registration via an online form by September 20, 2026.
