Formentera hosts MARE marine conservation photography exhibition

The itinerant exhibition ‘Feim un capfico?’ is being held in Sant Francesc Xavier, Formentera, from September 4 to 21. The showcase features 32 award-winning photographs from the 6th edition of MARE FOTO, a photography contest dedicated to the conservation of the Balearic Sea.

The exhibition aims to use photography as a tool for marine heritage education, highlighting underwater landscapes, local species, the human relationship with the sea, and the environmental threats facing these ecosystems. The event is a collaborative effort between MARE and the Consell Insular de Formentera, continuing a partnership that previously brought similar initiatives to the island to promote the protection of seabed riches.
