Former Al Ahly star Mohamed Abdel Galil criticizes club management

Former Al Ahly player Mohamed Abdel Galil has raised several technical and administrative concerns regarding the club's current state. Speaking on the ‘Defender’ program, Abdel Galil criticized the management style of coach Amouta, suggesting he does not fit the club's identity and fails to consult his assistant coaching staff.

Abdel Galil also commented on the roles of key personnel and players. He noted that Wael Gomaa appears to be performing the duties of a general coach rather than a football director, though he acknowledged Gomaa's dedication to the club's success. Regarding the squad, he defended right-back Mohamed Hany against excessive criticism, citing his long-term service to the team.

Furthermore, Abdel Galil questioned the tactical positioning of Ahmed Sayed Zizo and noted that Emam Ashour has struggled to maintain his expected physical performance. He also observed that while Omar El Saai possesses good potential, his physical stamina limits his effectiveness to a single half of play. Finally, he praised Pyramids FC, stating their current performance reminds him of Al Ahly in previous years.
