Former Anoka County Attorney charged in sex trafficking ring

Andrea Leigh Sampson, a former Assistant Anoka County Attorney, has been charged with 26 counts related to her alleged involvement in a sex trafficking operation in the Twin Cities area. The charges include 13 counts of promoting prostitution and 13 counts of receiving profits from prostitution.

According to court documents from an investigation involving the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Human Trafficking Task Force, Sampson allegedly used shell companies to hide and funnel profits from the organization. She is also accused of securing and providing locations where commercial sex transactions took place.

The operation reportedly utilized a website called ‘Minnesota Erotica Personals,’ which was allegedly owned and operated by Katherine Michelle Thomes. Other individuals named in the investigation include Frank Devone Reeves, described as a pimp, and Viktoriya Sergeyevna Komonash. Authorities identified 13 women as victims during the investigation.
