Former Bima Police Chief Denies Receiving Drug Money as Drug Lord Ko Erwin Faces Trial

Didik Putra Kuncoro, the former police chief of Bima, Indonesia, has denied accusations that he received 2.8 billion rupiah from drug traffickers Koko Erwin and Abdul Hamid (known as Boy). His lawyer, Farizal Pranata Bahri, said Kuncoro never met or cooperated with the alleged dealers and that the funds in question stem from an administrative error, not drug proceeds.

Separately, authorities transferred drug lord Ko Erwin and associate Akhsan Al Fadhil from Jakarta to Bima for a court hearing. The hand‑over included seized items such as a Tag Heuer watch, cash, phones, a Toyota vehicle and a flash drive. Investigators are also probing money‑laundering links and have detained members of Ko Erwin’s family.
