Former Cornelia IT director arrested for theft and forgery

Jeremy Ron Dundore, the former Information Technology Director and Chief Information Officer for Cornelia, Georgia, has been arrested following an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Dundore faces one count of first-degree forgery and two counts of theft by deception. Investigators allege he was responsible for stealing more than $95,000 from municipal funds. The probe was initiated after city officials identified suspicious purchases and requested assistance from state agents in April.

Dundore is currently being held in the Habersham County Detention Center. While the specific methods used to carry out the alleged fraudulent transactions have not been disclosed, the investigation remains ongoing. Prosecutors from the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office will determine formal court proceedings once the GBI completes its inquiry.
