Former Czech President Miloš Zeman Takes Annual Boat Ride

Former Czech President Miloš Zeman resumed his yearly summer outing on a yellow inflatable boat, the Challenger 300, gliding over Veselský Pond in the village of Nové Veselí, Vysočina. The boat trip, traditionally observed each summer, was conducted under the watch of his security detail. Zeman, who now uses a wheelchair because of declining health, handled the paddles himself and remarked that the weather forced him to cancel the event the previous year.

The outing marked the continuation of a long‑standing personal tradition that began during his time in office, demonstrating that his health limitations have not halted the ritual.
