Former Dominican President Hipólito Mejía Highlights Family as Greatest Legacy

In a televised interview on Mujeres Al Borde TV, former Dominican Republic president Hipólito Mejía said that his most important achievement is his family, calling it “the greatest goal” and urging a new generation of leaders to prioritize experience, service and humility.

On Father's Day, his daughter Carolina Mejía, mayor of the Distrito Nacional, posted a video of her father's remarks and congratulated Dominican fathers, emphasizing the same message that family outweighs material or economic goals.

Both pieces underscored the former president’s personal reflection on family values and his call for future leaders to stay connected to the people they serve.
